I offer you this pretty coffee table, made in the 1920s, in Vietnam. The precious rosewood base is carved in imitation of bamboo (chic and timeless) A scalloped brass top engraved with a bird of paradise in particular forms the top. It opens and closes in 10 seconds. Note the absence of a one-foot decoration (visible in the last photo). This partly explains the moderate price of the object.
